Bankless Africa Podcast presents your weekly crypto news update from all around Africa!
Keen eyes turn to observe how well some of the major crypto and fiat currencies are doing in their respective markets, comparing figures over the course of the past week.
Ample focus is on crypto and blockchain technology in the African space and how these are currently being harnessed and exploited for the good of the continent and other frontier markets, primarily in Africa and parts of Asia.
Worthy of note is the heavy inflow of funding from venture capital funds all over the world, in recognition of potential for massive growth in the blockchain space in the African continent. Crypto giants like Celo and Binance are becoming more heavily invested in the African space, visibly through funding startups mass education of the African population about what blockchain technology is about and the promise it holds for the future, as well as organizing in-person events to foster the growth of strong crypto communities all around Africa.
This rollup lays much emphasis on the active role blockchain technology is playing in creating a more efficient financial system, the current level of crypto adoption in Africa, and highlights the future of web3 and blockchain technology in the African continent.

How accessible is funding from investors to startups in the African tech ecosystem?
Sourcing funding from investors, foreign or local, is one of the most significant hurdles faced by African tech startups in their journey to creating innovative solutions and scaling these solutions to solve identified problems within the African continent on a large scale.
This episode features Erikan Obotetukudo, a techpreneur with a strong passion for bridging the cryptocurrency knowledge gap through mass education, and advocacy for technology accessibility throughout Africa and other frontier markets.
She founded the Audacity fund, a crypto venture fund investing in untapped markets globally. The vision of the fund is to build and invest in blockchain technologies, web3 and metaverse movements worldwide over the course of the next 100 years. She is also the Co-Founder and President of Crypto for Black Economic Empowerment (CBEE) and believes in building a vibrant community with a core focus on fostering active collaboration among the black minority in crypto.
With curiosity centered around understanding the technological needs and funding gaps that exist in frontier markets, the discussion is focused on the challenges African startups face on the path to seeking fundraising to fund their projects. The aim of Audacity is geared towards breaking the assumption bias about the African continent and making funding more accessible to startups.
In this episode, Erikan shares her journey through the tech and venture capital space and discusses an approach to bridging the funding gap, with emphasis on the need to integrate crypto as a force for good into the everyday lives of the ordinary African, using blockchain technology to unlock a new potential for growth, prosperity and sustenance.

Nestcoin builds products targeted at making viable economic opportunities more accessible to the ordinary person, with a core philosophy focused on re-inventing the financial system by building products that the everyday person can use.
These products include Breach Club, Metaverse Magna and more.
Through Nestcoin's coordinated efforts, it has been able to establish a range of products and services to potentially onboard millions of people into crypto by bridging the knowledge gap through education and simplifying the process of involvement in the sphere for the majority of the African population.
Yele and David discuss crypto as an equalizer that bridges the financial gap in frontier markets and about efforts that Nestcoin has made in realizing this future in the African continent through its developed range of products and services in its ecosystem.
